Our commitment
CAV AIR HELICOPTERS, LLC is committed to making this website accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA (opens in a new tab).
What we have done
- Semantic page structure with one main heading per page and a logical heading order.
- A “Skip to main content” link and full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Color contrast that meets WCAG AA for text and interface elements.
- Form fields with visible labels, clear instructions and error messages announced to screen readers.
- Custom drop-down lists (country code, helicopter model and service) that can be searched and used with the keyboard, and a message box that grows with your text and announces when you are close to the character limit.
- Search and filters on the For Sale page that work with the keyboard and announce the number of results to screen readers.
- A photo viewer in the Gallery that works with the keyboard (arrow keys to change photo, Escape to close), announces the photo number and description, and returns focus to the photo you opened.
- A page for each item for sale, with a photo viewer that works with the keyboard (arrow keys to change photo) and announces the photo number.
- A WhatsApp chat window that does not block the page, can be closed with the Escape key, and a searchable country-code list that works with the arrow keys.
- Respect for the “reduce motion” setting of your device: with it turned on, the decorative helicopter that moves across the home page as you scroll is not shown.
- Pages that work with zoom up to 400% and on small screens.
- A Spanish version of the website, with the language of each page declared so screen readers use the right voice. Listings for sale are published in English only.
- Content that is fully visible without waiting for animations or scripts.
Known limitations
- Certificates and documents attached to listings are files provided by sellers (PDFs or photos) and may not be fully accessible. Contact us and we will give you the information in another format.
- The optional Google Maps view is provided by a third party and may not be fully accessible. Our address is always available as text, and you can open it directly in Google Maps.
