In short: our website does not set cookies to track you. That's why you don't see a cookie banner. We count visits without cookies. It only stores in your browser, for 24 hours, the time of your last form submissions to stop spam. Google may set cookies only if you choose to load the map, and WhatsApp only if you continue to WhatsApp.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. They can be strictly necessary (for the site to work or stay secure) or optional (for analytics, advertising or personalization).
2. Cookies on this website
- Our own website: sets no cookies and uses no advertising or cross-site tracking technologies.
- Visit statistics (no cookies): we count page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does not identify you or follow you across websites, so it does not require a cookie banner. It is not loaded if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. Details in our Privacy Policy.
- Local storage (strictly necessary): to protect our forms against spam, your browser keeps the date and time of your last form submissions (key name starting with
cavair:sent:). It holds no personal data and is never sent to us or to third parties. Entries older than 24 hours are deleted automatically the next time a page with a form loads, and you can clear it in your browser settings. Because it is strictly necessary for security, it does not require consent. - Local storage for your quote list (strictly necessary): when you add parts to your quote list, your browser keeps that list (key name
cavair:quote) so it is still there if you change page or come back later. It contains part numbers and quantities only, is not sent to us until you send the request, and is deleted when you send it or empty the list. It does not require consent. - Session storage (strictly necessary): when you switch between English and Spanish, your browser remembers for a few seconds which part of the page you were reading (key name
lang-swap), so the other language opens at the same place. It holds no personal data, is never sent to us or to third parties, and is deleted as soon as the new page loads or when you close the tab. It does not require consent. - Hosting and security: our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the website against bots and attacks. These cookies do not track you across websites and cannot be disabled.
- Google Maps (optional): the map only loads when you click “Show map” or open Google Maps. Google may then set its own cookies under the Google Cookie Policy (opens in a new tab). If you don't load the map, no data is sent to Google.
- Contact and WhatsApp forms: they do not set cookies. When you send a form, the information you submit is sent to Google (Google Apps Script), which saves it in our private spreadsheet and emails it to us. That connection is made without cookies.
- WhatsApp (optional): when you continue to WhatsApp you leave our website; WhatsApp may use its own cookies under its policies.
3. How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies and local storage (“site data”) in your browser settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how some websites work. Guides: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.
4. Changes
If we ever add optional cookies, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
